Association of Development Financing Institutions in Asia and the Pacific (ADFIAP)

 

ADFIAP is the focal point of all development banks and other financial institutions engaged in the financing of development in the Asia-Pacific region. Its mission is to advance sustainable development through its members. Founded in 1976, ADFIAP has currently 83 member-institutions in 37 countries. The Asian Development Bank is a Special Member of the Association. ADFIAP is also a founding member of the World Federation of Development Financing Institutions composed of regional associations in Africa, Asia-Pacific, Latin America and the Middle East. ADFIAP is an NGO in consultative status with the United Nations’ Economic and Social Council. The permanent Secretariat of ADFIAP is based in Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

UNEP/Wuppertal Institute Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP)

The CSCP provides scientific support to activities undertaken by UNEP and other organisations in the field of sustainable consumption and production. This includes the development, testing, implementation and monitoring of concrete projects, especially in developing countries, which will enable these countries to leapfrog to sustainable consumption and production patterns using life cycle thinking and the local development perspective as guiding principles. In this respect the Centre supports the integration of environmental, social and cultural concerns into decision making at the level of national governments, regional and local public authorities, the private sector, non-governmental organizations and consumer groups. The Centre works on the exchange of experiences with partners in both developing and developed countries, with support for capacity building and training approaches as an integral part of its programmes.

University of St Andrews

Founded in 1413, St Andrews is Scotland's first University and the third oldest in the UK. For almost six centuries, it has proudly upheld the tradition of academic excellence, attracting scholars of international repute and students from all over the world.

Today, it continues to offer the latest in teaching and research, all within a superbly picturesque mediaeval setting. Although St Andrews is not a campus University, it has grown and developed with the town and is now comfortably integrated.
